Dr Hywel Jones, What can I say in these current covid times and faced with surgery this man made it all the easier, such a kind, caring, funny and super genuine guy, I can't thank him enough for making me feel at ease, amazing at his job and caring with it I wasn't just a number on his list I was a person I felt like his friend and with no family allowed in he became my family for that day. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart. Keep up the amazing work.

I was visiting for a septoplasty. The nature of this procedure meant that there was no reason to see Dr. Jones much - he only saw me beforehand to explain the operation, then again to administer general anaesthetic, then briefly afterwards in the recovery ward to check how I was doing. Dr. Jones was very approachable and friendly the entire time, made sure that I understood everything that I needed to, and, as it was my first surgery and I was anxious, did a good job of making sure that I was comfortable in the anaesthesia room. I would definitely be happy to see Dr. Jones again in the future, should I need to visit the hospital again.

I was admitted to Springfield Hospital to undergo Parathyroid surgery by Mr Simon Smith. Dr Hywel Jones was my anaesthetist. Undergoing surgery is quite scary. Dr Jones was amazing, he talked me through the process and put me at total ease. He was making me laugh as he injected me with his 'special Gin and Tonic' and before I knew it I was awake and the surgery was over. Dr Jones and his team are amazing. Thank you so much for looking after me and being so kind and caring.

I recently had a total knee replacement at Springfield Hospital and Dr. Jones was my anaesthetist. At my pre-op appointment I found his relaxed, friendly manner very reassuring and never felt rushed as he went through my medical history, explained the prcedure I was to have and answered my questions. On the day the procedure went very smoothly and again he was very kind and caring. He visited me on both of my post- operative mornings. I was discharged on the third day, a Saturday, and in the evening I had a query about my medication. I contacted Dr. Jones and he responded immediately and could not have been more helpful. I feel I was very lucky to be in the care of Dr. Jones. Marilyn Archer
